Justin Usher

Caye Caulker Police continue to rack up impressive statistics in the fight against drugs on the island. During a pre-dawn operation today, Police visited the home of thirty-seven year old Shawn Bennett, a food vendor. According to official reports, when Police knocked on the door and identified themselves they observed someone throwing a black object through a window. They entered the residence where they found Bennett, his common law wife Betty Petillo and another man identified as Justin Usher. All three persons were escorted to where the object was thrown, and Police discovered a black plastic bag containing sixty-six point nine grams of cannabis. Bennett, Petillo and Usher were escorted to the Caye Caulker Police Station where they were formally arrested and charged for drug trafficking. They will be escorted to San Pedro on Friday for arraignment.
