Haitian busted with Fake Visa

Sanon Vertus

The findings of the immigration scandal have still not been revealed but tonight we can report that a Haitian national was busted on Monday with a fake visa issued as recent as December in Haiti. Thirty-seven year old Sanon Vertus was busted with the fake visa when he arrived at the Phillip Goldson International Airport on Monday. It was detected by alert Immigration Officer, Eldon August who escorted Vertus to the Immigration Office in Belize City. Additional checks were then made with the Ministry in Belmopan which confirmed that the visa was not legit and was printed in Haiti. The number that appeared on the visa is V zero zero zero seven six three zero nine, issued on December eleventh, 2013 and to expire on March eleventh, 2014. Vertus appeared in court on Monday and pleaded guilty. He told Magistrate Lino that he had paid one hundred and fifty U.S. dollars for the visa.  He was promptly charged one thousand dollars.

Now this Haitian is in jail now but I bet you when he gets out he will be allowed to stay in this country while all the other Spanish are sent back immediately to their country.why should we the tax payers of this country pay for this Haitian to stay here for months instead send him back immediately , but they won’t because this pm and gov. What do you call someone who has all the tools and people at his disposal to do a job but can’t come up with a result…INCOMPETENT. Are we to believe the PM, the Immigration CEO, Director, Minister Hulse , FIU, and Police are all incompetent???

  4. Guerra says:

No amount of threat of court action coming from Election and Boundaries department should stop the Penner recall. The PM proudly said,”I gave you the Recall mechanism”, but we would be much happier if he actually allowed it to work. If we own something like that, shouldn’t it be able to work? It’s new brand!
