Barrington Brown

Also in the courts, Special Constable Barrington Brown, who works as a cabinet maker changed his not guilty plea to guilty of beating of his wife during a domestic dispute on May fourteenth, 2013.   The interdicted officer pleaded guilty to wounding his wife, Sharon Brown because his wife provoked him. The Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith decided to remand Brown into custody for six days after which she will decide what kind of sentencing to impose upon him.  According to Sharon when she arrived home, she found her two daughters in the lower flat of the house with her estranged husband. She complained and an altercation ensued.  Sharon says she was choked by Barrington, she fell and he punched her in her face. Before remanding him, the Chief Magistrate told the special constable that he was out of order.  Brown will remain at the Central Prison until November fourth when the court will determine what penalty is suitable for his actions.
