Albert Moody, allegedly involved in Belize City shooting, has his day in court

Twenty-three year old Jane Usher Boulevard resident, Albert Moody, today appeared in the Magistrate’s Court related to a shooting incident in Belize City on October twentieth. Moody has been charged with two counts each of Attempted Murder and use of deadly means of harm, and one count each of dangerous harm and wounding on twenty-seven year old Steven Lambey and eighteen year old Elroy Perdomo. Around eleven-twenty-five p.m. on October twentieth, Lambey and Perdomo were riding their bicycles on Central American Boulevard toward the Port of Belize compound when they were shot at by an assailant standing on the side of the street. Lambey was shot in the right abdomen and right calf, while Perdomo was hit in the left ankle and left side of the buttocks. Both men were treated and Lambey’s injuries were classified as dangerous harm while Perdomo’s were classified as wounding. Due to the nature of the offence Moody was remanded by Chief Magistrate Ann-Marie Smith until his next court appearance on December thirteenth.
