Human remains found in Belmopan

Sinquest Martinez

With so much happening on the political scene, the discovery of what seem to be human bones in Belmopan went somewhat under the radar. The bones were discovered by workers near the garbage dump on the Hummingbird Highway. On Saturday, Police were called out to the scene and took possession of the bones. According to Officer Commanding the Belmopan Police Formation Sinquest Martinez, the bones will be forwarded to forensic specialists.

ASP Sinquest Martinez, O.C., Belmopan Police Formation

“Based on information received, we visited about three miles out of Belmopan where some workers were doing some work and they came upon these bones that we don’t know if they are human or animal bones, but they seemed like skeletal bones.”

Reporter

“Okay, was there a skull in that hole as well?”

ASP Sinquest Martinez

“Yes there was a skull likewise. The whole frame was intact.”

Reporter

So you all are relatively convinced that it is human?”

ASP Sinquest Martinez

“From what we have seen, it is human.”

Reporter

“Officer was it completely bones? Or what I’m asking is there any indication of how long it may have been there?”

ASP Sinquest Martinez

“Well I will need to leave that to the pathologist. That is the pathologist’s field, not our field.”

Reporter

“Could you give me the process? You all have found the bones, what is the next step?”

ASP Sinquest Martinez

“We are going to take it to Belize City for it to be examined and have a post mortem by the pathologist.”

Reporter

“Could you, you have any idea of a time frame on that?”

ASP Sinquest Martinez

“Well that should be done sometime within today or tomorrow.”

According to Martinez, they have already identified two persons reported missing within the past fifteen to eighteen months. But they cannot proceed further until the forensic examination is concluded.

This is a very confusing statement, does anyone in a position of responsibility able to make one perfect sentence. Bones discovered not sure if it is human or animal, yet there was a skull and the bones were intact. Animal skulls are much different from human skulls,so were there four legs ore was there two arms and two legs.

It is so hard to get one straight statement out of these people who are responsible to give public information. Can we say teach better communication in our schools, why are our kids not required to speak the queens English in class and creole in on their own time. Let us develop our children for the world stage.

  2. Name Witheld says:

I couldn’t agree more with you AL Rich,
It is frustrating hearing those (dumb ass creole) fighting to have teachers teach our children creole claiming that it is a language, dumb ass idiots, so I speaks french poorly can I claim that my rendition of poorly pronounced french words is a language all by itself, Creole is poorly pronounced English!!!! Idiots get that in your thick skull, by the way I’m known as a creole man but that doesn’t mean I should be stupid and insist that my kids are thought to speak it so that they won’t be able to properly communicate with others who speaks Proper English… how stupid can they be to be advocating for the backward movement of our kids!! why don’t the brown skin idiots put the same amount of effort into teaching creole to speak Spanish, Garifuna, Maya(ketch iy & Mopan) latin French or German?

  3. Fed up says:

Have you guys ever heard of any police officer being able to speak proper English??? Hell, they cannot even write up a proper police report without the document having glaring grammar and punctuation mistakes. We live in a sad country at this present time and it will only get worse instead of better.

CNN is currently running a commercial on investing in Belize, with the ad claiming Belize to be a peaceful, low cost of living country, etc. I hope no one out there is stupid enough to believe such lies and get duped into putting money in such a worthless investment. This country is nothing to be proud of at the moment.
