Missing Teakettle man is believed to have been murdered

Sinquest Martinez

There is another case that could turn out to be murder as a family from the Arizona area of Teakettle is convinced that their father and husband, Pedro Ruben Andrade Luna, is dead. The forty-nine year old farmer left home on Thursday afternoon to gather contrive, which he would then sell in Belize City on Saturday. But he never returned home. Today News Five visited the area in which Luna disappeared, which is miles behind Arizona, in an area known as Roaring River. Esmeralda Luna told us that the family thinks her father was killed by immigrants who are in the area illegally.

“He used to go and come back. But that day, he left at one and when the night came, I said my father will come the next day because sometimes it is normal for him. So when Friday came and I tell my family don’t worry my father will get here; don’t worry we know how he is. But he didn’t came and we were worried and we didn’t call the police because we know after forty-eight hours we are to report. So we weren’t worried. So Saturday came and we were just shocked that he wasn’t home so we knew something was wrong. We just didn’t even know what to do so we went looking and we didn’t find nothing. So we decided to go to the station in the morning and the police came to look for him and they didn’t find nothing. All they found was his belongings; school bag, his water, his machete; that’s all they found. No traces of him…he is missing right now. And we want to find him. We are hoping for the best but we know that something is wrong has happened to him.”

“Mister Ruben Andrade was reported missing on Friday and Sunday by his family. It was reported that he went to farm on Thursday. We have visited the Springfield Area, the Roaring River area and we haven’t come up with nothing as yet. We have used the dogs and nothing positive as yet. And as we speak, I have my officers out right now checking into an information pertaining to Ruben.”

“Alright, I understand that his belongings were found or this was what we were told; that his belongings were found by police.”

“We cannot positively identify. They are just suspected that the items found were his because when he left, he left alone.”

Officer Commanding the Belmopan Formation Sinquest Martinez says that they have several persons from the area of Roaring River in custody and are questioning them in Luna’s disappearance.
