Female Special Constable charged for allegedly assaulting a minor with a knife

Natalie Hamilton

Thirty-one year old Natalie Hamilton, a special constable of a Periwinkle Street address, appeared in magistrate’s court this morning, after being charged with aggravated assault upon a minor.  Hamilton, who appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Leslie Hamilton, was indicted after being accused by a sixteen-year-old girl of pulling a knife at her on Independence Day.  According to the teenager, she was standing at the corners of Prince and George streets at about 10:30 on Saturday night when a woman, identified as Natalie Hamilton, approached her.  They subsequently got into a verbal confrontation and Hamilton left shortly thereafter.  Moments later she returned and the tirade continued.  When another minor attempted to intervene Hamilton reportedly produced a knife and made an attempt to stab her.  The matter was reported to the police and Hamilton was charged for the offense.  In court, she pleaded not guilty.  There was no objection to bail being granted in the sum of five hundred dollars, plus one surety of the same amount.  Hamilton is set to return to court in October twenty-fourth.
