Senate Committee will release S.S.B. report Tues.

Story PictureA long journey that began over two and a half years ago is almost over. According to a release from the National Assembly, on Tuesday the report of the Special Select Committee on its investigation into Social Security will be presented to the Senate. That report, which focuses on the S.S.B.’s disastrous securitization programme, tonight remains a tightly held secret. Having held numerous public hearings, and inspected reams of documents, the committee is not expected to produce any smoking gun. Instead observers will be looking to see how the report’s primary author, Chairman Godwin Hulse, connects the many contradictory dots. As for how the report will be presented, this evening Senator Hulse told News Five that they are still working out the details. As for length the chairman would only say that the report is “tight and compact” and that following the presentation, he and fellow committee members Dickie Bradley, Moises Chan and Rene Gomez would be free to discuss the contents with the press.
