Brothers, iron bar and rocks means jail-time

A dispute over land has left one man critically injured in the K.H.M.H. and another behind bars while Police hunt for his brother. Sand Hill residents Eric and Prince Lockwood are accused of injuring a relative, Nelson Lockwood with an iron bar and rocks. Today Eric appeared before Magistrate Leslie Hamilton and was charged for aggravated assault and grievous harm. The incident arose from an alleged altercation between the brothers and Nelson Lockwood. According to Eric, the whole family including Nelson lives on a four acre plot of land. Nelson was taking zinc off the house of a deceased uncle, and Eric says that sparked off the fight since that was considered disrespect for the dead and disrespect for his father who now lives in the deceased’s house. The magistrate was not particularly impressed with the explanation and although Eric Lockwood pleaded not guilty to the charges, he was remanded since the victim is in critical condition. His next court date is scheduled for Auguest twenty -seventh. Police are currently looking for Prince Lockwood in connection with the incident.
