Costa Rican Coach gives Belize Jaguars respect

Jorge Luis Pinto

So Team Belize is ready to roll, and at a press conference about an hour ago in Salt Lake, Utah, Costa Rica Coach, Jorge Luis Pinto was nothing, but respectful of our players who he says are fast and strong. Pinto says he has watched games played by the Jaguars in UNCAF and will structure his team to counter Belize’s style of play on the field on Saturday. News Five’s William Neal has those comments from Pinto.

Jorge Luis Pinto, Costa Rican Coach

“I think Belize is a hard team. They are very fast, they are very easily situated. They have four strikers, they have a four-four-one, but I respect Belize. They have top players. Again they are fast and it is going to be a hard opponent. And the changes have nothing to do with the team. He saw the games and he has seen how they have been playing in the UNCAF. It depends on the style. If they decide to close up a lot, then we will make the appropriate changes for that for the game.”

In their previous encounter in the Centro Americana games qualifier for the Gold Cup; Costa Rica only managed to score one goal against Belize. So stay tuned for that rematch, which will be aired live on this station starting at three-thirty p.m. on Saturday.
