Salvadoran national knocked down and killed in Belmopan

Just minutes after forty-three year old Isabel Antonio Ballona was being killed by armed robbers at the La Choza del Cabrito Bar, another Salvadoran national also lost his life when he was knocked down and killed a mile away. Sometime around twelve-thirty on Sunday morning, Belmopan Police found the body of thirty-two year old Mario Ortega Dominguez, a naturalized Belizean of Young Bank area, Camalote Village. Dominguez received severe head and body injuries in front of the Agriculture and Trade Show Grounds on the Hummingbird Highway in Belmopan City. Initial investigations reveal that Dominguez was hit from behind while riding his blue mountain bike; seventy-five feet away the bicycle was seen with a broken handle and rear wheel.  News Five spoke with Officer Commanding the Belmopan Formation, Assistant Superintendent Sinquest Martinez who said that the department needs the public’s assistance in solving this case of hit and run.

  1. Storm says:

So me where there’s a vehicle with a badly damaged front end. Hopefully someone will report it to the police and they can find the driver. Also hopefully the police collected evidence left at the scene of the accident, like broken headlight lens or whatever else was left as debris from the vehicle, to match it to the killing machine. That’s pretty basic police work, so I hope the police did it.
