Enrique Martinez and Sons employee disappears amidst theft

It appears that a delivery man for Enrique Martinez and Sons Limited has gone rogue and disappeared with a customer’s order as well as items stolen from the company vehicle. According to a warehouse Supervisor, on December nineteenth, Nathan Pratt was sent to deliver several rolls of copper tubing and a disconnect switch; all valued at four hundred and fifty-three dollars. The items were to be taken to the Caye Caulker Water Taxi for shipment to the island, but later that day, the supervisor was informed that the goods were never delivered. The following day he arrived at work to find that the truck that Pratt was driving was parked on the compound with the keys inside, but the radio, amplifier, speakers and a two-ton bottle jack valued at one thousand, three hundred and forty dollars had been stolen from inside. Pratt has not been seen since then and is now being sought by police.

Also in the city, it was recently discovered that a house on Saint Edwards Street was broken into and cleaned out by thieves between November twenty-seventh 2012 and January second, 2013. The burglary was reported by Handy Side Street resident, Derek Cervantes, who told police that twenty-three thousand, seven hundred and fifty-nine dollars in household items were stolen.

Sorry to hear of more victims in the Jewel. I’m hoping we will see better enforcement and more criminals in prison to stay with our new ComPol.
