Martin Cesar Castellanos

A ferry operator was found dead near Spanish Lookout this morning. The body of Martin Cesar Castellanos was found suspended from a ferry but police are treating it as a case of sudden death. The family says that the circumstances show that Castellanos could not have taken his own life and furthermore they have information that someone with whom he had a confrontation, was seen leaving the area where the body was found. People are dying like flies, and in so many cases no one is charged. People just do not talk anymore. Unless there is a stiffer penalty for murder it will continue. Bring back the death penalty and build a solitary confinement area for murderers and let them out of the cell for one hour a day for the rest of their life. The penalty has to be stronger or this will continue. Lets get Belize noted for taking a stand on crime. Let it be said that the government is taking a stand, please Barrow redeem yourself and change the international perception of the country.

Another terrible holiday-time tragedy. Condolences to the poor man’s family.

The circumstances are too suspicious, they demand a serious investigation.

If there are murderers out there, let’s discover them and give them a taste of rope, too.
