Trouble for the P.U.P. and its northern caucus

gregorio garcia

In news of a political nature, there is trouble tonight in the usually united Northern Caucus of the P.U.P. According to reports, Florencio Marin, Deputy Party Leader and Corozal South East Representative Florencio Marin Jr. is trying to flex his muscle in the caucus by endorsing a New Executive in the Corozal Bay. At the last meeting of the Northern Caucus, it was decided that new constituency executives would be elected or endorsed until January 2013.  But out of the blue and without giving prior notice, the Corozal Bay Executive headed by Roberto Pasos, has called for an election this Saturday.   Pasos, it is said, placed phone calls to select members of the executive saying that there were instructions from the leadership to endorse and appoint a new executive as soon as this Saturday. A demonstration is being planned to stop the elections which is seen as an attempt to remove Gregorio “Papas” Garcia who contested the last general elections as standard bearer for the opposition in the Bay. Garcia is considered an ally to former party Leader John Briceño.

A pox upon the PUP and UDP both. Together they have brought ruin on a beautiful nation.

Indeed this went through this Saturday. And this modus operandi of Florencio Jr. of bulldozing his way to get control of the Corozal District is being felt in Corozal North also. In Corozal North he has sent “messages” saying that if “matters” are not handled through his annointed candidate for the Czl North and though the past chairman David Meza ( whose personal agenda caused division in the area and thus losing the general elections), corozal north will not be receiving no kind of attention fron the National Leadership. There is also great concern in Corozal North that Marin Jr. has added the present Chairman Mr. Camal ( who seems to have a personal agenda and not party oriented) in his side.

This didn’t come as a surprise to anyone living here. Florencio Jr has always had his way now he is throwing Papas under the bus because he has different views.

Imagine we are fighting here up north and we are the opposition imagine if we won. Florencio mussy wa lash we!

We take two steps forward and four giant ones backway

  4. javier solis says:

Look at Storm up there, he cannot resist critisizing the UDP even though the red had nothing to do with this in-fighting!!! Fanatico!!

There is also rumours Pablo Marin is stepping down to Allow Mayor Campos to run for Corozal Bay. I believe all of Corozal Wants to see a showdown of the Mayor against Papas.
