GSU busts 2 women with illegal drugs

Joslyn Cadle

A pair of Belize City women are in the news tonight following charges of drug trafficking.  In separate incidents, personnel from the Gang Suppression Unit conducted stop and search operations on eighteen year old Joslyn Cadle and thirty-one year old Tanise Smith and netted several quantities of cannabis.  On Saturday, whilst on Newtown Barracks, Cadle, a resident of Supal Street, was found with a schoolbag containing sixteen small parcels of cannabis weighing a total of a hundred and fifty-nine grams, as a well as a hundred dollars and ninety-seven cents in various denominations, admittedly the proceeds of drug sales.  This morning, Smith, who lives on Taylor’s Alley, was nabbed on McKay Boulevard carrying a sling bag with five parcels containing one thousand, nine hundred and seventy-three grams of cannabis.  Both women have been charged with drug trafficking.

Good Job my peps, GSU. We mi di wait pan uno long time fu the next bust. No fraid fu bust them street girls with anything, cuz those are the same ones weh di beat up deh pickney and have them di find wat fu eat pan street. Because of these street women our young children di steal, beg, curse and who knows what else. They also harbor gangsters and criminals at their homes to hide from the police. No fraid fu arrest them, I done tired ah the ignorant women who play the victim, but when deh di home, deh prefer sell weed and crack instead of planting fruits and veggies in the yard.

Young Gial, sounds like you know these women personally. Stop judging people, you don’t know what they have been through. Have you ever tough that maybe they can’t get a job and this was their rock bottom attempt to make a life for their family to survive?

  5. Young Gial says:

Sorry jun jun, I don’t know them. But since you cetch feelings, maybe you do. By the way they get catch with weed, and no matter what they have been through, since when does it justify criminal behavior. C’omon, can’t get a job, my grandmother can’t get a job, but she plant and sell her lee lime and coconut and her mangos and things, but she noh go sell weed “B”. You think that is their bottom attempt, they look young to me and stronger than my granny, so they mussy could work or harvest something. I noh swallow your lame @$$ justification for these women.

    Young Gial is wise.

If the dealer was “just a mule”, then maybe she can win leniency by helping police arrest her boss. Drugs are a deadly business, and I hate all the dealers.
