Farmer walks free from indecent assault charge against minor

A young Farmer of Saint Matthews Village today walked free of a serious sexual offense. Twenty-three year old Isai Ortiz was charged in December 2011 for allegedly committing an indecent assault upon a minor. Ortiz was previously in court on April twentieth and the court ordered that he was to be given disclosure by May twenty-ninth. Well, the trial was to begin today in the Belmopan Supreme Court, but Ortiz still had not received disclosure of the evidence against him and the prosecutor did not have the case file in his possession. An adjournment was requested, but it was not granted by Magistrate Adolph Lucas, who instead the dismissed the charge. So instead of facing three years in prison, Ortiz walked out of court a free man.

    DPP, THIS IS A DISGRACE!!!

From this story, it was prosecutorial incompetence that set a child molester back onto the streets to molest more innocent girls.

IDIOCY LIKE THIS IS HOW BERT VAZQUEZ GOT TO VICTIMISE SO MANY YOUNG GIRLS, AND APPARENTLY MURDER AT LEAST ONE!

PEOPLE OF ST. MATHEWS VILLAGE AND BELMOPAN, HERE IS YOUR CALL TO ORGANISE AND PROTEST AND MARCH FOR JUSTICE LIKE THE PEOPLE DID IN CAYO! Maybe even link up with the protest leaders in Cayo.

WILL YOUR DAUGHTER BE HIS NEXT VICTIM?

They are predicting doom and gloom for Belize. Also did you know that. Belize is the only country in central America that did not sign on as a member of the un convention against corruption . I wonder why.

I have young children, and in my heart I know that I would be compelled to kill anyone who violated one of them.

It is a devastating crime to the young victim. Many never recover from the horror of the attack and helplessness.

And it is often a self-perpetuating crime — people who are molested as children somehow think it is normal, and they go on to molest when they grow up.

I have seen the proposal here to castrate all convicted sexual criminals, and I fully agree with it. Other than the noose, there is no other way to prevent perverts from repeating their crimes.

There is corruption in every country. If there wasn’t a market for illegal drugs in el norte, they wouldn’t have this problem.
