Shot during robbery but clinging to life

Marty Goff

A Belize City man was shot in the face on Monday afternoon when two men robbed his delivery truck while transporting bread to a store in the Lake Independence Area. Tonight, thirty-four year old Marty Goff is still in critical condition and is fighting for his life at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. The incident was a shock to many because Goff is a well known family man, who works hard for an honest living. But as he made a deliver at M&Y Store on Monday, two gunmen almost took his life during the robbery. Today, his brother told News Five that Goff is holding on and they have faith that he will pull through.

Join me in prayer for his recovery. Belize needs all the people willing to work at legal jobs to support their families.

This is so, so unfortunate. I remember teaching him when he attended the Adult Education Program at the Belize Technical College in 1999 I think. I see him almost every week day morning around 6:15 as i head towards the bus terminal. He is one of those guys who try his best and everything possible to provide for his family instead of taking the course of crime. My prayers are with him and his family.

My thoughts goes out to the family.all i can say is the law enforcement needs to set one exsample and that is to hang them in the public court yard like the,old days
