Murder trial against Maurice and Emory Felix begins

Maurice Felix

Also in the Supreme Court, the murder trial against Belize City brothers, Maurice and Emory Felix started this morning before Justice Adolph Lucas. The brothers are accused of the April tenth, 2006 murder of T-Street mechanic, Mitchum Heredia, who was gunned down inside his vehicle as he arrived home. The prosecution alleges that Maurice and Emory acted together in killing Heredia. Senior Crown Council, Cecil Ramirez called to the stand, scenes of crime police officer, Marroquin Rodriguez, this morning.

Rodriguez testified that on the night of the murder, he responded to the scene on T-Street, where Heredia was found slouched over his steering wheel with several gunshot wounds. Slugs were also recovered inside his house. The second witness was Gladimire Ku, a Police Corporal, who was attached to the Crimes Investigation Branch at the time. Ku explained that he observed injuries on Heredia’s lower abdomen, three gunshot wounds on his chest and three on his head. Heredia was rushed to the K.H.M.H., but was pronounced dead on arrival by Doctor Miguel Alvarez. The trial continues on Thursday morning.

I pray that DPP and police and the Judge do a competent judge, and that we get just convictions.

Then, an eye for an eye, a life for a life. Hang them. Two more gangsters into the trash-bin; a little more security for the rest of us.

  2. Seletar says:

SIX YEARS TO BEGIN TRIAL? Justice delayed is justice denied. Why wait until there is a chance witnesses will disappear or memories will fade? The people have a right to a speedy trial!

  3. Rod says:

If found guilty hang them hang them high no more mess round just hang all murderers and if these judges don’t start doing their job we need to call for their firing enough is enough judges you need to start doing your frecking job if not you’ll loose your job.

  4. Bzeinmiami says:

If found guilty – life in jail- if acquitted- they come out to die from gunshot- so life is fair

  5. Gina says:

6 yrs is too much for trail, this should have been dealt with within a year, I guess the court was waiting for all evidence to disappear, so they can be released after the case.

I remember when Emory was voted best dressed student at Gwen Liz. They put him on a podium for having his belt in place, his pants were not sagging. his shirt tucked in, his entire uniform in place.

Everybody knew he had nothing to prove. he was in charge of his own crew,

I do believe if you committ the crime you must do the time. Lets not jump to conclusiion based on someone pass actions. Lets look at the evidence. too many individuals has been incarcerated due to mistaken identity or the witness delibertly lie. Where is dna, and.the weapon that was used, The victim family is overwhelm with grief and yes wants justice. but lets not put innocent individuals in prison. While these individuals are no saint, and awaiting trail.the crime rate grew.yes emotion is running high, but we must be sure we have the right individuals

U people don’t know wat ur talkin about ..where’s da evidence..dey jus automaticly point da finger a 2 young males..free these young men asap

  10. Lovely Says: says:

Lovely says: I do not think the two young man are guilty. I listen to what the two officers that went to the crime scene said as well a the witness. The officers didn’t see anything and the witness who live to tell this story was chased by one of the brothers, he came back and got close enough to here what the two brothers are saying. Now how much minute does it take to shoot a person, and how long would it take for a scared person to come back to listen to what someone is saying. The officer said the victum was shot several time but not with different guns if that was true both brothers would not have shot him up or one of them would have beaten him up atleast, so how could both men kill one person? I am afraid the witness is lying. I want justice for the victim and closure for the family, but not at the hands of innocent people.

to me all u people who made judgement should listen to yourselves.you guys sound very self centered. i hope none of you are educated people, because if that the case. hmm, u sound like educated fools. what will be the case if those boys didn’t do the murder n found guilty? this will means that we will put another two behind the bars. we should give them another chance in life. do unto to others as you would want them do unto you ( the golden rules). if it was your relatives none of you would of place these crap up here. the father is awake, just remember he never sleep. there is a big diff in knowing the almighty and knowing about the almighty. the almighty said we are all sinners on earth and we are not suppose to draw judgement. its like throwing stone when u yourself live in a class house. many of u guys comment and don’t even know or knew the brothers, but can make deplorable action about them base on what the media or the police force said about them. one, the media will put a pile of crap to make money and two the force is very corrupted. the almighty said if u repent good tings will happen to u. for you guys information. if you would pay good attention to the witness testimony and the polices you would see they are contradicting each other. the only way these boys can be guilty if the juries judge them on there pass and not the case. the witness is not a hero so don’t swell his head. he was paid to do a false testimony that the DPP and chester Williams made. do your home work before you give in b s to your teacher fools.

  12. Lovely Says: says:

Ray i agree with you, people like to jump to conclusion and don’t know the whole story. They need to stop play with people live, the media will write any thing to make money and the witness make a lots of mistake during his testimony.
like you say Ray god is not sleeping, the witness and anyone who tell lies on these two brother will have their day, when yo do people wrong it will come back on you
Respect to the family of the victum

  13. bovice says:

I hope u ppl get ir facts rite b4 u judge the brothers..I understand the victims family wants justice an closure but it sounds like the jury convicted them based on there past an not da actual crime dey so called commited I mean wheres da physical evidence, there is no finger prints , DNA, gun nothin dey jus goin by sum Bs witness testimony prolly got paid to lie who knows thou..its obvious that the jury an judge is not there for justice..as far as I’m concerned this is not a court of law but a court of Bs..these boys clearly r not bein fair..free these 2 innocent men ASAP..the local authorietes need to get off there lazy @$$ an find da rite ppl who did it
