Dedicated team flips on highway bringing you daily news

A Channel Five News crew unwittingly became part of tonight’s report. While heading to the capital this morning to do a feature story on employment, the station’s Hilux became a victim of a slick portion of the Western Highway. Inside the vehicle were driver Stephen Ferguson, cameraman George Tillett and reporter Andrea Polanco. According to the trio, when they arrived at mile thirty one, the Hilux shook, buckled and shifted on the road. It flipped several times before coming to a halt on its left side. Two of the tires on the right side blew out in the process and the windshield was shattered. The team was visibly shook up. Veteran employee, Tillett received abrasions to his hand resulting from shattered glass, Ferguson also a long time employee, was lucky to be unharmed. However, Polanco did receive a blow to the head and hand. She will be out for the next two weeks while she receives physical therapy.  Though the news normally shows the tears of pain and joy of the people we interview, it rarely ever shows the lengths and dangers that the employees endure on a daily basis to bring those moments into your living room.
