Woman’s laptop snatched out of her car…while she was using it
Shortly after eleven-thirty this morning, a woman was robbed of her laptop computer on Vernon Street. It happened while forty-two year old Patricia Rodriguez was sitting in vehicle using her computer when a man pushed his hand through the open window, grabbed the laptop and dashed through a Mayflower Street alley. A short while later police responded to the scene and went to the home of Paul Bradley. We found his family riled up, saying that police detained the wrong man. Bradley’s wife, Erma Bradley, told us that she saw two men run through her yard and later found out about the robbery from police.
“Mammy, I really nuh know weh happen because I mi deh back ah fu we yaad yah with my next sista-in-law, we di wash and we just si wah group ah young man dash through the yaad yah suh and we nuh know weh happen but lee bit afta that my husband hail me and my sista-in-law say he ask she fi guh buy mango fi ah so she tell ah fi she foot di hot ah. News Five understands that the security cameras from nearby businesses didn’t pick up the crime being committed, but the screams of the woman alerted neighbors who called the police.
