What would a P.U.P. Government bring?

Francis Fonseca

And with just a matter of hours before the polls open, we also asked Fonseca what Belizeans can expect going forward under his leadership, if the People’s United Party is to clinch the elections.

Francis Fonseca

“I think we can expect a government that is moving with a sense of urgency. I want people to associate the word urgency when they hear my name because we have very serious problems. They can expect someone who is going to be a listener, someone who is going to be a planner and someone who is going to be a doer. Listen, plan, do; those are things that are critically missing today in Belize. Someone who is prepared to engage and dialogue with the Belizean people, learn from them; someone who is going into government and saying to the Belizean people listen I don’t have all the answers, I have a plan; this is my plan and perhaps you can help me to improve this plan. What are your ideas? What are your experiences? How can we benefit from that? That is what a P.U.P. government led by me would be all about.”

For the record, we did invite the Prime Minister to the set, but we didn’t get his acceptance.
