U.D.P. Mayoral Candidate ready

Darrel Bradley

At City Hall, it was Mayor Zenaida Moya’s last day and this afternoon mayoral hopeful Darrel Bradley told News Five that all systems are a go with his U.D.P. City Council team.  After several weeks on the campaign trail Bradley says the reception from the electorate has been very warm.

Darrel Bradley, Mayoral Candidate, U.D.P.

“We are doing our last minute and checking our lists and we are just tying up loose ends to ensure that we are one hundred percent ready for tomorrow morning’s opening of the polls.”

Isani Cayetano

“In terms of the machinery and being able to mobilize voters to the polls how is the planning for that coming along?”

Darrel Bradley

“Well it’s excellent.  It’s worked very, very smoothly.  We feel that the U.D.P. is strong.  We are election ready.  We were working very closely with our various constituencies in Belize City.  We’re working closely with the standard bearers, they’re committees.  We’re having last-minute communications to just ensure that everything works in one hundred percent ready ship for tomorrow.”

Isani Cayetano

“Assessing the campaign efforts thus far, how would you rate the effort of your team going into the different communities and being able to garner the support of the voting public?”

Darrel Bradley

“I would say that it has been very good.  We’ve walked most of the city.  We could not get to every single home of course in retrospect there is always more that could be done but I think that the effort has been good.  The reception from the general public has been very good and we await a favorable outcome after tomorrow.”

P.U.P. mayoral candidate Karen Bodden was offered an opportunity to comment on eleventh-hour preparations but, up to news time we hadn’t heard from her.
