Homeless man dies from shooting injuries

There’s another murder. An attack on four men at the Battlefield Park earlier this month has now turned to a homicide. On the night of February seventh, two gunmen opened fire on a group of men who were changing a flat tire on a van. Twenty-year-old Gilbert Wade was shot to the right thigh, eighteen year-old Kendell Flowers was shot on both of his arms, and thirty-year-old Dion Lord was shot on his inner thigh. They were all treated and released from the hospital the following the day. But forty-nine year old Evan Jones, who is homeless and lives in the park, was also shot in the ribcage as he stood in the area. He remained hospitalized and while it went under the radar, News Five has learnt that Jones succumbed to his injuries over the weekend.  It is expected that the investigation will now be upgraded to murder.

Very sadly so, this is a classic example of what happens to homeless, nameless and faceless people in the Jewel, under the current leadership of this useless PM and his bunch of bufoons and cronies. We are not trying to play politics with this situation, however enough is enough, over the past 4 years Belize has become a culture of murder and maim. Without a doubt the pm and his bufoonery cabinet members did absolutely nothing to address crime and criminal activities both inside the police dept and in the society at large. On March 7th, we urge all able body Belizeans to come out and vote PUP all the way. Lets do it for the late Father of our Nation. The late Rt. Hon. George Cadle Price, may he rest in peace in his eternal home which the Almighty has preserved and promised to all those who serve and love him. We need men in government who love and serve all the people in Belize, nameless, faceless and homeless.

    Well said CEO…

Find the murderer, then hang him.

I have been thinking, Belize needs a competent and honest leader for its police forces — we have enjoyed nothing but failures for too long to remember.

But someone I always admired for those good qualities comes toi mind. Does anyone know where Brig. Lloyd Gillett is now, or what he is doing? If I were King of Belize, I think I would give him a free hand to turn the police force upside down, shake out the bad apples, and rebuild it into a force that can protect us, and make us feel secure.

    WHAT DO YOU THINK?
