Israeli photography exhibit launched at the House of Culture

Last year, Belize formally recognized Palestine as an independent and sovereign state.  It did not sit well with Israel, but relations have remained constant.  There are various initiatives, including scholarships, a waiver of visas fees and a technical cooperation program in the push to strengthen diplomatic ties between the Jewel and Israel. But seldom have there been cultural and artistic exchanges to showcase Israel.  That is until today when a photography exhibit is being launched at the House of Culture.  The display is an impressive collection of aerial images depicting architecture and natural landscapes including Jerusalem, Caesarea and Tel Aviv.  It is the hope of Israeli Ambassador Shmulik Bass that by sharing the magnificence of Israel with Belizeans a greater appreciation of the religious importance of the Holy Land will be developed.  Here are a few of those images.

Israel occupation of the West Bank and Gaza deprives the Palestinian economy of almost £4,4 bn a year, Also the palestinian children suffer and live in insecurity as a result of the occupation. The occupation is depriving the Palestinian children of their rights to health, education and security.

The Israelis and Jews have been persecuted since the beginning of time. Palestine is just a puppet of the rampant Middle Eastern countries. Israel is rightfully on its ancestral land taken from them by the plunging Arab countries. If the Arabs were so concerned about Palestine they should send food and clothing to them instead of guns, bombs and terrorists that constantly harass Israel. The Jews are resilient and smart people and they will find any means necessary to fight the aggressors trying to take away their rightful place. Go read the Bible Melvin and Stanley. You have sooo much to learn about Israel. Read about the 6 day war as well. Israel is protected by the hand of GOD.

  5. Belizean says:

Amen to that Junito!!!! Israel is a very significant country. It also says in the Bible that whoever is against Israel is against God. I surely dont want to be against God! Israel are Gods people and so are the Palestinians, but they do not accept this fact physically nor spiritually.

  7. Vuk says:

I agree with you, junito. If anything, Belize should learn from Israel instead of joining the international chorus singing against it.
