Burrell Boom principal’s home burglarized

The home of Zoe Oliver, the principal of the Burrell Boom Primary School, was burglarized on Monday. Police have since arrested another Boom resident, twenty-two year old Ryan Gillett, who was found in possession of a two thousand dollar laptop that was stolen from Oliver’s home. Today, Gillett appeared before Magistrate Dorothy Flowers and was charged with Burglary and Handling Stolen Goods. He was unrepresented and pleaded not guilty to both charges. Bail was granted in the sum of four thousand dollars, which Gillett was able to meet by three o’clock this afternoon. His next court appearance is scheduled for February twenty-first when Gillett will be taken before Magistrate Roberto Ordonez.
