Unidentified man brutally murdered

There has not been a murder in the Old Capital for weeks, but police need help tonight in identifying the body of man found early this afternoon off Mile three on the Western Highway. From all accounts, the victim had a horrific end; his body was badly mutilated and when it was found following a tip to police, it was fully dressed. It is believed that the victim was in his mid thirties and that he was dumped in the area after he was viciously butchered.  The police press officer, Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood, provided a description of the latest murder victim.

“Well, Andrea, it’s a male, we believe between the age of twenty-eight and probably thirty-eight. It had about fifteen stab wounds, multiple parts of the body, the chest area, especially; it had some stab wounds to the face, to the left arm. Umm, he is unidentified at this time. He was dressed in a green, blue, with red horizontal stripes sweater-type shirt and a blue jean long pants; no shoes. He was found on the Western Highway through a feeder road around mile three; this would be on your left going up. We have the body here and we’re hoping that we can find somebody maybe with the assistance of the public. My records haven’t showed anybody missing dressed that way. We found him with a bunch of keys, a lot of small keys and one house key type.”

“So from the condition of the body you wouldn’t be able to estimate maybe the time of death?”

Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood

“Well, we are not certain whether or not the person was even killed there. The area have, it’s a little bushy and wouldn’t look like anything took place there. We believe that the body was dumped there. The estimated time of death, we will have to get confirmation from the doctor, actually the doctor is busy doing a postmortem and that is why I am unable to give you the actual time.”

Andrea Polanco

“So no form of decomposition, or so?”

Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood

“No, no form.”

Andrea Polanco

“Okay, the area where the body was found, any items found nearby, like any weapon or so?”

Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood

“No, no weapon at all and this person had on what people would refer to as the “dog-tag” chain type, but we couldn’t find the actual bottom part of it but the remain of the chain was around his neck.”

When we checked this evening, the press officer said that the body remains unidentified at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
