Cops say gun is not lost, but in locked up

Floyd Ellis

Floyd Ellis came to News Five last Friday to complain about his missing firearm, which he says was left in the care of a police officer following a domestic dispute with his common-law-wife, Sherry Rosado. Ellis said he voluntarily handed in the weapon to the police officer who responded to his 911 call after Rosado had injured him. But he has been unable to get it back, and believes that the cops may have misplaced the gun. On Wednesday, however, police responded to Ellis’ allegations saying that Rosado had reported on September tenth that they had an argument that escalated into a domestic dispute involving the licensed Browning pistol. According to the police release, the firearm was retrieved from Ellis at the scene and was handed in as an exhibit.  The weapon is still in the Police Armory and will remain there until a decision is made as to whether Ellis’ license would be revoked.  The release goes on to say that any insinuation that the weapon is lost is baseless.

That’s not even a browning Pistol . It is a CZ chambered for .380 browning which is the cartridge . So sad cops can’t even identify firearms properly
