Cops lost his handgun?

Floyd Ellis

You have heard about an arsenal of weapons that went missing from the B.D.F. and earlier this week eight pieces of priceless silverware went missing from the national collection at the House of Culture. Well tonight there is another story to report of a missing item. It is not as grand as the arsenal or missing silverware but a gun handed over to the police in good fate is gone missing. The story is that   forty year old Floyd Ellis was involved in a domestic dispute over two months ago in which he was severely injured. According to the father of four, he and his common law wife, Sherry Rosado, got into an altercation on September tenth at the family residence on St. Thomas Street during which Rosado allegedly inflicted a massive laceration to his upper right chest.  Ellis, who was bleeding profusely, dialed the emergency hotline for assistance and shortly thereafter police corporal number 480 Milian responded to the scene of the incident.  Ellis, prior to being rushed to the hospital, realized that his loaded 380 Browning pistol was at his house where his children, all minors, would remain unsupervised.  He then voluntarily handed over the weapon to PC Milian believing that it was in good hands with the department.  Several days later Ellis attempted to recover the firearm but has been unable to do so and now claim that he has been given the runaround.

“On the tenth day of September me and my common law got into a little altercation [during which] she inflicted a wound on me.  I called the police 911.  They came.  After they came I decided to hand over my firearm personally because the kids [were there] and I didn’t want to leave it at the house.  I called them.  The officer came, [number] 480 Corporal Milton, I don’t know if he’s a sergeant now because they were doing some promotions the other day.  I handed over my firearm personally to him.  He took me to the hospital [and] upon reaching to the hospital when they were done stabilizing me I asked him, “what about my receipt?”  He just gave me a piece of paper with his name and everything on it.  After that I spent like three or four days and I came out of the hospital.  Now feeling I came back to recover my firearm during which I called again on the same corporal and he explained to me that [he] handed it over to Ms. Moody, the inspector and she said that she [was] going to take it up to Belmopan.”

According to Ellis he has not been given an explanation as to why the weapon has not been returned leaving him to believe that it has gone missing from the department. He is now calling on the office of the ombudsman to launch an investigation to this matter.

They say that the populace should surrender their guns, because less guns equals less crime since ONLY THE POLICE is then legally allowed to carry guns…

Funny enough in Belize IT IS THE POLICE who should not be allowed to carry guns because they either steal the citizens gun “REMEMBER MR. PERDOMO’S GLOCK?” now this, or they have no security whatsoever for their guns that thieves dance in and out with an amount of guns that WEIGH A LOT…

You grab 11 BERETTA pistols and throw them inside a crucus sack and the thing will weigh somewhere around 35 pounds…NOW IMAGINE FOURTY ADD RIFLES?????
