17 and 19 year olds remanded for bicycle robber

Stephen Flowers

A seventeen year old minor and nineteen year old Stephen Flowers were also charged with robbery today. The two allegedly held Justin Castillo at gunpoint on October second and stole his two hundred dollar beach cruiser bicycle. Flowers, who was found with the bike, was additionally charged with Handling Stolen Goods while the minor was charged with wounding for allegedly beating up Castillo before fleeing the scene. They pleaded not guilty to all charges and Flowers claims that he had borrowed the bike from someone else. Only the minor had legal representation when they appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann Marie-Smith and because the crime was allegedly committed with a firearm, they were both remanded until November eleventh. So tonight Flowers is in prison and the minor is at the Youth Hostel.
