Was there an attempt to blackmail Lee?

The unraveling of the six thousand or so video files in the Kevin Lee saga, is far from over. There were allegations that a computer technician or even security personnel may have been involved in an attempt to extort Lee for cash. News Five asked the Police Minister to comment.

Jose Sanchez

“Is there any investigation into the alleged blackmail side of it where someone was trying to blackmail Mister Lee?”

Doug Singh, Minister of Police

Doug Singh

“In fact, we don’t know who tried to do this. The evidence came into our hands because somebody was seeking assistance from somebody else in trying to assist in getting resources from Mr. Lee. But from the note that I read, it appears that the person was incensed and the person was very upset and would have taken the matter to the police because they said that in the note; unless they were compensated for the violation done to them. It is not unreasonable for somebody who knew that this was happening, to not want to make it public. How many people who knew that a doctor may have violated them would want to make it public? In fact, they may want to be compensated—they can choose to go the legal way or they may try to negotiate privately. I am not sure to what extent it is extortion because the person had the evidence of what was done to them and the letter seemed to have been written in first person. It would have appeared that the victim on the recording is the person who may have produced the letter. We have no real evidence to support this or in contrary of this, we have no evidence as to who sent it—unless somebody would come forward, we wouldn’t know. Certainly we can approach the person in the recording to find out if they had anything to do with it and if they didn’t then it would have meant then somebody who had access to this recording was trying to extort. But that is all part of the process that we are working on and I don’t want to surmise, I don’t want to speculate; we just have to work with what we have.”

Singh says although the police department is closely guarding the evidence, there is no clear indication if copies were made prior to entering the hands of the law enforcement.

Does the Taiwan community in Belize have any comment on this matter? Or anyone who had a close relationship with him. The Belizean people do not know what really was going on with his close relatives/friends on these videos. Certain few could have been watching such videos in private and (maybe) be viewing these videos prior to when he was caught. Note, this is just a perception of a Belizean citizen.#realtalk. I DO NOT INTEND TO ATTACK ANYONE BUT JUST GIVE A VIEW ON THE MATTER.

Belizeans need to wake up,anyone can go to Belize and say that they’re a doctor and the Belizean people will fall for it.When are we going to start doing background checks on some of these people who claim to be professionals?Do we even know if he is qualified?

True thing. Belizeans are a set of people who have the personality to trust others easily. Im guessing that its because it has to do with our culture and the way that we were raised. We got to start be wiser and do background check on people who come to Belize to offer essential services that are not Belizeans that we dont know. And then in the end us Belizeans always pay the price. I hate the fact that anybody can come to Belize and “Chance Us” and we have no one to blame but ourselves cause we give them that authority. Wise up Belize!!! Pardon me, but I dont think Dr. Lee is such a handsome of jiggy fellow for Belizeans to go to him for sex – duuuuuhhhhh????? I believe he put people in trance or hypnotize them for sex. That schupid pervert – the justice system should cut off his lil piece of ….. that he uses to rape our Belizeans.

with Ministers like Singh, why is he personally involved in this investigation? why is he watching videos, voyeurism? he should set the policy, let his compol know that this matter should be dealt with urgently and have the DPP and the Sol Gen and all those technical people work for their salaries,
huge problem with this system of government is that, Booots immediately is an engineer and is measuring bridges and building roads and houses,
Pablo Marin is now diagnosing and prescribing.

I guess some of those videos will be missing by the time Jackie Chan is extrdited to Belize. What was he going to do with all these videos send them to Taiwan to be sold in the video stores?Who knows if some of these videos havn’t been sold in Taiwan.

You bet that at this very time there are people who are having a great time watching locally made XXX movies. And they wait to watch the faces of these ladies who were in action and are saying to themselves and in whispers, “shhhh, watch she.. I cannot believe she would do that…shhh.”

Our Belizean men are having so much foreign influence .. “the modern , liberated thinking” from countries they have lived and leave their woman to do their own thing. No wonder our country is going to the dogs in the dump site. Remember what the great Moya said about the PM.. well, many men are joining that club too.

That is what happens when these women get up and just go in their fancy, air-conditioned SUV’s.. they are bored at home with all their luxuries and start looking elsewhere for excitement. Men, wake up.. you should be providing that excitement to your wives… but no, you are busy making $$$$ and for what.. for your shame and destruction.

Take care of your bakery otherwise someone else will eat the …..

WHY WOULD WE SEEK OUT A MASSAGE THERAPIST FOR SEXUAL FAVORS THOUGH? DON’T GET ME WRONG, I’M NOT JUSTIFYING WHAT LEE DID AND SAYING HE IS RIGHT, BUT IT CONTRADICTS TO THE WHOLE MATTER. THESE MEN AND WOMEN THAT WERE RECORDED, DON’T YOU THINK U WERE PUTTING YOURSELVES, FIRST OF ALL, IN AN UNCOMPROMISING SITUATION, AND ON TOP OF IT ALL RECORDED WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT? COME ON PEOPLE. HOW LOW CAN YOU GO. NOW SOME OF US “HIGH-SOCIETY” CLASS ARE OUT HERE CHEWING OFF OUR NAILS, BUSTING OUR BRAINS, AFRAID THAT WE’VE BEEN CAUGHT ON CAMERA…
