Attempted murder is the case that they gave him

Jermaine Belgrave

Cleo Robinson was shot on the night of February, twenty-third 2010; It took months to make an initial arrest and in August 2010, the well-known street figure, Jermaine Belgrave, was charged for attempted murder.  Robinson died fourteen months later on June thirtieth of this year and today the charge against Belgrave was upgraded to one of murder. Belgrave appeared before the Chief Magistrate Margaret Gabb McKenzie and was told that a preliminary inquiry would follow to determine if he will be committed to stand trial in the Supreme Court.    He was represented by attorney Dickie Bradley and is due back in court on September twenty-second. Following the shooting in February 2010, Robinson reportedly told police that he was riding a beach cruiser bicycle on Glen Street when Belgrave fired several shots at him, two which caught him in the back and abdomen.  Belgrave has also been charged for the attempted murder of Police Officer, Harold Grinage. That incident took place in March of 2010. But Belgrave was out on bail granted by the Supreme Court for a robbery he was accused of in Orange Walk Town earlier this year.
