Fire in Benque; but Zone 4 Community participated in extinguishing flames

A large plume of smoke was visible over the western border town of Benque on August eighth. At about eight-thirty on Monday morning, the Benque Police Formation and the Fire department responded to a fire in the Zone Four area, which is one street away from the Arenal Road. The home, which belonged to Hector Martinez, was ablaze.  Both the police force and the fire department battled the blaze. The loss to the homeowner could have been worse if it wasn’t for the helpful residents of Zone four who also assisted the victims in removing household items from the building. The cause of the fire has not been established.

That is Benque at it’s best. ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL. Community spirit is one of Benque’s hallmark. I have seen it before. I see it now and am sure will see it again.
