Couple charged for Handling Stolen Goods

Warren Allen Logan

In the courtroom of Magistrate Roberto Ordonez this morning, a couple was jointly charged with Handling Stolen Goods. Forty year old Warren Allen Logan and thirty-six year old Stephanie Hemsley were allegedly found in possession of a Sony DVD Player, assorted DVDs and an iron that were stolen from the home of Josephine Waller, at mile two and half on the Western Highway. Waller reported the items stolen after her house was burglarized in July. In court, Logan pleaded guilty to the charge and told the magistrate that his common-law-wife did not know the items were in the house because she had just returned from Belmopan. Logan also claimed that he found the iron at a junkyard where he worked. While Magistrate Ordonez noted that it is Logan’s second conviction for a crime of dishonesty, he was lenient in imposing a fine of seven hundred and fifty dollars to be paid by September tenth.
