P.U.P. does not support amendment on Preventative Detention

Turning to the proposed constitutional amendments that were introduced in the House of Representatives on May thirteenth. The Leader of the Opposition on Monday wrote to Minister Patrick Faber as Chairman of the Constitution and Foreign Affairs Committee. John Briceño says that the P.U.P. is not in support of the amendment on preventative detention and asks the government to withdraw it. Briceño points out that there are only twenty-four days left for the required consultation to take place and that the opposition expects that Belizeans will be afforded the time to express their views. Furthermore, the P.U.P. leader insists that the accompanying legislation be brought before the House and that the dates, times and places for the consultations are announced. His letter ends with a condemnation of the anti-constitutional and anti-democratic manner in which the constitutional process surrounding the Eighth Constitutional amendment has been handled by the government.

Barrow is so inept and lazy that he has no ideas of his own. As the Rayburn song says ” he is too lazy to be lazy”. Look it. Barrow is merely copying how Jamaica govern itself: Jamaica has these draconian preventitive laws, Barrow supports Israeli racism and nazism and negation of statehood for Palestine, and barrow wants to close the scrap metal industry just like in Jamaica. Barrow wants to run Belize a-la Jamaica. The man has no brains, no original ideas, no nothing about administering a country. Que BRUTO!

  3. Liberty and Freedom says:

Same comments as last time. This proposed legislation is a violation of your rights as a citizen of Belize. History is repeating itself. In the 1930′s and the 1940′s, Hitler’s brown shirts (Gestapo) pulled people off the street without any due process and jailed them without any charges and no legal representation. Belizeans, your basic rights are in danger of being violated by a government that is becoming repressive.

Describing Barrow as he really is would not be using proper english and cannot be printed. To say he is Satan is aying it mildly!

UDP is a joke. PUP is a joke. What we need is young fresh blood. Most of these politicians are old and tired. We no not need seniors to try and run the country. What we need is young smart fresh blood. People with vision who have traveled and have some degree of exposure.People who have never left Belize should never be in power. Their minds are limited. Elect people who are qualified and not people we like because they are friends .Get rid of the village syndrome.

Both parties are worthless. Look at BEL and BTL being nationalized and now BSI being sold out. Ironic, what do these people have in their head. Surely not grey and white matter.
