Family of 9 including children face ammunition charges

A family of nine, including three minors, was trooped to the Magistrate’s Court today where they appeared before Magistrate Aretha Ford to face ammunition related charges following the discovery of four rounds of live ammunition.  A search of a residence on Neal’s Pen Road on Friday yielded the bullets which were hidden near a septic tank in the yard.  Arrested were fifty-year old Yvonne Myers, her daughter thirty-one year old Melanie Myers, twenty-four year old Alrick and Kenrick Olivera, twenty-two year old Byron James, twenty year old Albert Bowen and three teenagers.  During the proceeding this morning eighteen year old John Fuller, who was not among those initially charged, offered to take responsibility for the rounds.  When the magistrate declined the offer the young man stormed out of the court before breaking three glass louvers from a nearby window.  He has since been charged with damage to property while the others have been charged with a single count each of kept ammunition without a gun license.  All nine family members were remanded to the Hattieville Prison until July twenty-fifth when they are scheduled to reappear in court.

so if i drive past someone’s home and throw a handful of bullets into their yard on the sly and the police find them, all the occupants of that house, including grandma and teenagers, go to prison if no one ‘owns up.’ Great. i wonder which team of geniuses came up with this brilliant idea. i bet you they will find a loophole if their child is among the detained.
