2 persons shot on Reggae Street

The indiscriminate spate of violence continues in the streets of the Old Capital as two Belize City men are tonight recovering from various gunshot wounds following a shooting incident on Reggae Street on Thursday night.  Police reports are that sometime around eight o’clock thirty-eight year old Arden Middleton and thirty year old Noel Usher were both socializing at Middleton’s residence when they were approached by a lone gunman who fired several shots in their direction.  Usher was hit in the right side of the neck and left hand while Middleton was shot in the left palm during another incident which ensued immediately thereafter.  According to the men, a second gunman entered the premises and a struggle between him and Middleton followed.  The firearm discharged causing injury to Middleton’s hand.  The men were immediately rushed to the KHMH where Usher was admitted in serious condition.  He has since been stabilized.  Middleton, on the other hand, was treated and released.  A police investigation into the incident continues.

Every Belizean found with an illegal gun should get 20 years in prison. And criminal that shoot or kill some one should get the death penalty. Including those who put hit on others. End of story

And we can be assured that the shooters will not be identified because the need for revenge will override their responsibility to try to clean up the mess they have all made of this community.
