National Sports Council no longer recognizes several organizations

The Belize Football Federation has been at odds with the Ministry of Sports for some time. When it didn’t meet registration requirements by failing to submit its financials, the ministry threatened to cut it off. Well today that came through at a meeting of the National Sports Council. While it doesn’t necessarily play an active role in the execution of many sports disciplines, it is the governing body that officially registers and recognizes the organizations. The Board of the NSC also took action against five other sporting organizations.  That means that the Football Federation of Belize, Belize Darts Federation, Belize Boxing Federation, Judo Association of Belize, Belize Domino Association, and the Belize Tumblers Association are no longer recognized as the national body of these disciplines. What does it really mean? We’re not sure as the Football Federation of Belize, which is sanctioned and fully recognized by FIFA as its representing body in Belize, has world recognition. In the coming weeks the FFB is hosting an international match with Montserrat in Belmopan.

cutting off the nose to spite the face does not work. john saldivar does not know what he is doing to football in belize, if belize is rejected by FIFA, we will no longer be recognized internationally, which means death to the already sinking football ship in belize. saldivar need to get his head out of his butt and try to work thing out , to keep belizean football in the ranks of FiFa if he really want change then do as the old saying goes kiss A@@ until you can kick A@@ so he need to try to work things out with bertie chimilo seening that he is the only one recognized by the world federation. john is acting like the blue konkas weh e caant eat e spoil.

I disagree with cayobway — the problem here is not Mr. Saldivar. – The problem here is Bertie!!!!! We will die and our grandkids will die and Belize football will not grow if we have types like him at the front. All Bertie wants is to enjoy the monies and fame. He gives not one $#!% about our kids. People that love football and have contributed financially like I have can tell you what Bertie is made up of.
Move him and football will grow; as simple as that.

No one cares anymore about football in Belize as long as that dictator bandit is around! Learn from the basketball federation, they give glory to our nation!!!

Its about somebody checked Chimilio the chimp. Over the last dozen years or so, football in Belize has not been about football, the players or the nation. What Chimilio has in common with Sepp Blatter is that the public everywhere see them as crooks who are only interested in entrenching themselves and hustling off the players and the fans. The election that kept Chimilio the chimp in office is just as questionable as the election that returned Blatter to the helm of FIFA. It was no surprise that Blatter offered Chimilio his unconditional support; he himself was trying to remain in power with the help of the hustlers that he supports unconditionally. Crooks have each others backs.
