Body found with plastic bag tied over head

In Ladyville, the body of a thirty-six year old resident was found under suspicious circumstances but the Police Department is unable to ascertain if the man was murdered. According to the Ladyville Police Formation, the body of Enoc Abel Montero was found after three p.m. on Friday, at his home at the Lake Garden area. The body was found on a sofa with a black plastic bag tied over his head.   Montero was last seen alive on May thirty first, 2011. Incidentally, neighbors claim that was the same day his wife called asking if anyone has heard from him. Montero worked part time with Traveler’s as a technician, but the coworkers we found said they don’t know anything about Montero’s life or relatives.  Montero’s body was discovered by his brother, Jorge. Because of the advanced state of decomposition, Dr. Mario Estradabran’s post mortem examination was inconclusive. So Montero will not form part of the murder statistics for this year.

It is more than likely the man was murdered, but even with a with plastic bag tied over the victims head the Police Department is unable to ascertain if the man was murdered.

  3. deedee says:

Mario Estradabran should be relieve of his post…this man can never give an accurate & complete results when dealing with cases. He is just taking up space & collecting a salary which he shouldn’t be getting.

  4. Curious says:

We all know that Mario only deals with “fresh dead”, but obviously, there’s a murder case to investigate here. Call this case what you want BPD, but one less murder will not make the crime situation in our country look any better, as we have one of the bloodiest half year in our history!

  5. Orange Walk says:

maybe we should send Dr. Estradabran on the “Bones” show for some further training. he really needs it.

this seems to be a murder and in the very man manner in which we hear from suspected criminals that police use to get information rom there suspects and this could be a case to look carefully sometimes people are not known to be involve in illegal activity but they are and certian persons know and sometimes they are kill wrongfully so maybe the police did it or the anti drug unit or just a former cop no take this lightly

  13. nonya says:

maybe the man kill ehself by tieing the bag over his own head ,,,hmmm..MAKES SENSE NOh?so yes..inconclusive! The obvious isn’t always the obvious people….so they were right in not calling it a “murder” because it could have been a suicide..

It is very cloudy and dark when it comes to police investigations in Belize and this is not because they do not get training it is simply corruption and no will. The case of the ladyville murder is a very sad one indeed and Doctor Estradabran has nothing to do with it personnaly. The situation is like this, when it comes to investigations, whenever a body is found under those circumstances the police always mess up the whole scene of the crime. When the doctor arrives the body is already been tampered with, the plastic bag was already removed, he cannot say it was there if he did not see it on his head. This makes it hard for Doctor Estradabran to fine a proper diagnoses of the cause of death. In 100 % of these types of cases we all know that it is a murder but how can you prove it if some one has tamper with evidence. It is easy for you to say it is murder, can you prove it in a court of law? you cannot go and say yes!, it is murder just because he had a bag over him, you have to prove it in a court of law when the case comes.
Ignorance is a hell of a problem in Belize and in this profession there is a lot of forensic doctors in Belize who do not practise, they only insult and critize. If they would help with knowledge we would be better off,on the other hand the police department is no help when it comes to any kind of investigations. Just by looking at who all was at the scene of the crime before the doctor arrive, you can tell that funny business is going on. The sad part is that the society does not really know the true picture of the forensic investigation and how it is done and what is done by the police to divert an investigation. The sad part is that the people will hold Dr. Estradabran responsible as always and make very intelligent remarks. The Government will never give Dr. Estradabran anything to work with because they are not interested and because they are part of the problem. On another note you can fire Dr. Estradabran and employ the best and it will be the same. TRUST ME, IN THIS PROFFESSION YOU GOT TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR NECK NOBODY WILL. SO INTELLIGENT PEOPLE YOU CAN SAY ALL WHAT YOU WANT, AT THE END OF THE DAY YOU WILL AGREE WITH DR. ESTRADABRAN.
PS. OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY-THE BROTHER DO UNDERSTOOD.
