Cabinet waives medical expenses for law enforcement officers injured while on duty

In news from the Cabinet, we note that the Prime Minister is heading on Thursday to a Heads of CARICOM summit in Guyana. The Minister of Education, Patrick Faber and the Deputy Prime Minister, Gaspar Vega, will fill until the prime minister returns on May twenty-fourth. Cabinet today also endorsed a recommendation by Minister of Health Pablo Marin which will allow for the waiver of medical expenses incurred by law enforcement officers in the line of duty.  The write-off extends to all government hospitals including the KHMH.

Law enforcement officers should have never been charged for injuries aquired on duty.Officers should have access to medical 24/7.What if an officer is attacked on his or her way home from duty would this law apply?
