3 more shootings; 2 in the Old Capital and 1 in down south

Earlier we reported on two murders and a shooting over the past weekend in the city. There was more violence, including the shooting of a mechanic of Vernon Street. Fifty-one year old Linsford Ferguson was shot to the left side of his neck, his nose and the right side of his back, at around eight-thirty on Friday night as he rode on Poinsettia Street.  Ferguson remains in a critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and police are looking for two suspects.  Just a few hours earlier, on Ecumenical Drive in Dangriga, shop attendant, Ashford Smith, was inside Chen’s Store when two armed youths entered and shot the owner, Hui Sheng Chen in his left thigh then ran off.  Also shot was a B.D.F. soldier, twenty-three year old Wayne Loredo, who was wounded around two-forty on Friday morning while walking with two off-duty policemen at the B.T.L. Park on Newtown Barracks.  The bullet was reportedly fired by someone from inside a passing vehicle.
