Rudolph McKoy

A Belize City man is missing and his family is highly concerned about his safety.  Thirty seven year old Rudolph McKoy is a cab driver whose station is near a local supermarket. According to Sherlette Ottley, McKoy, was ill recently and the family is hoping that anyone that has knowledge of his whereabouts, to please contact the police.

Sherlette Ottley, Wife of Missing Man

“I was aware of the situation yesterday when one of his fellow companions from out by the Public’s Supermarket came to my home to inquire of his whereabouts. That’s when I got concerned.”

Jose Sanchez

“Okay, but when did you last see him?”

Sherlette Ottley

“I saw his last week, last week Thursday was the last time I saw him.”

Jose Sanchez

So he’s been missing for a few days. Weren’t you a little bit concerned since you didn’t see him from since Thursday?”

Sherlette Ottley

Sherlette Ottley

“Well, not really because he usually comes by or when he contact other family members. And at the same time, his family was trying to get in contact with him from the states and then they didn’t succeed.”

Jose Sanchez

“I’m assuming someone tried to call?”

Sherlette Ottley

“We called him on Saturday between the hours of eleven-thirty and twelve. He told us he was on an airport run—he was taking some people to the international airport because he was to come at my home to pick up a food. But when we called him in the afternoon, the phone goes directly to the voice mail. That was it, from there everybody call him and just pure voice mail.”

Jose Sanchez

“Has he gone missing before?”

Sherlette Ottley

“No, not that I know of.”

Jose Sanchez

“Have you filed a police report?”

Sherlette Ottley

“Yes I did. If anybody woulda see ahn or know ih whereabouts or if he himself see this report, if he could call us and tell us where he is and if he is in good health. Last week I was made to understand that he wasn’t feeling good but his friends already contacted the Karl Heusner and searched for him and he’s not there either.”

Jose Sanchez

“And he doesn’t have any enemies that you know of?”

Sherlette Ottley

“Not that I know of.”

Ottley says that the family can be contacted at 207-0171.

QUOTE: “colleagues found it strange that they haven’t seen him for a few days and contacted his family”.
How come his wife was not aware her husband was missing for a few days, and does this mean your husband lives elsewhere? You said all that but the story remains unclear.
Check with his colleges, maybe they can remember what the last people/person looked like that entered his taxi.

I read this story & was reminded of the wife who did not notice her dead husband on the couch. This story smells just like that husband did after a few days. A husband who fails to come home or account for his whereabouts like being away on business or in a coma in the hospital is an ex. As treacherous as the streets of the city are, it is impossible to believe that his wife could be this indifferent. If this man still has a mother living in Belize, chances are, he has been by to see her. The neighbors can probably tell the police the last time he came home & if he or someone else left in his car.

Something ain’t rite with this story, pieces are missing. Channel 7 reported rite after showing Ms Ottley’s interview that they recently spoke with the missing man only for a short time & he says that he’s ok. Did this man stayed away from home because he’s having problems with the wife or who ever may live at the home??? Has his life been threaten in some way by someone or persons who the family doesn’t know anything about, which may have caused him to stay away from his home & family??? Is he in a relationship with someone else & just decided to leave to start a new life somewhere else???

  6. Elgin Martinez says:

What kind of wife is Ms Ottley?Last week you were made to understant that your husband wasen’t feeling good, you’re suppose to be the first one to know that as this man’s wife.It sounds to me like you’re the type that’s just with this man for the benefits. This doesn’t sound like a loving wify to me.

  7. BzeanGirl says:

Well from the way she speak its obvious they don’t live together. Why is it people are so quick to Judge others?? If he was Fed-up then he should have been a man and leave the right way or contact his family at least.
