Car trouble near Kraal Road results in shooting

A man from Bermudian Landing was unfortunate to have car trouble on Kraal Road. Instead of finding helpful residents, he found himself a target for gunmen. According to reports, thirty-three year old Eldon Williams’s explorer got bogged in a drain on Waight Street.  Williams went to use a nearby pay phone on foot and on his return, as he was walking near a green two story home, a gunman blasted twice, and one bullet caught him in the leg.  He did not see his assailant and he limped down the street to the Yabra Police Community Center where he collapsed. He was transported by Bert ambulance service to the KHMH where he was admitted to the emergency ward in stable condition.  No suspects have been identified for this senseless shooting.

As a child, i had watched alot of movies such as roman crusade, warriors invasion, ninja’karate’ and even gangsta movie..My favorite gangsta movie was Juice by Tupac Shakur and Omar Epps and others.. I love Tupac even though he’s gone im still a big fan but i never did one day wanted to portray his character from d movie but rather be the guy that had opposed Pac and try to end his reigned of killing…I even watch Robinhood and even though he was I thief i wantd to be like robinhood, STEAL FROM THE RICH & GIVE TO THE POOR, but there is no way I can be like Q in Juice or Robin in Belize the moment i would have gone to help this guy who had car problems someone would have shot me down as well…We tend to inflict wounds on each other..Dog eat Dog world…when mothers, brothers and sisters are mourning over a love one the felon, or criminal feel no remorse…Life indeed in no movie but i surely wish i can reach out to my people…LETS STAND 2GETHER AS ONE BZE…

Is this not the area where RESTORE BELIZE has declared a safe zone and is investing time and money to uplift?. imagine the possibilities my people.

What happened to men coming out & helping each other or at least trying to see if there is anything they can do to help another brother out . Belizeans are at the point where they are almost afraid of their own shadows because of this foolishness. There is no reason to believe that the neighbors do not know who the shooter is & should rat him out so that they can have him removed before he kills someone. Never mind, he probably already has.

  10. RadicalBelizean says:

Too many evil people living here in Belize. How can these animal be allowed to walk the earth. It could happen to anyone of us in need of help and this is way we are expected to be treated for seeking help? It means we have to start driving round town armed? Kill or be killed. What happened to the Police patrol etc? Come on, this is unacceptable. We need to wipe out the cockroaches in Kraal Road.

  11. Edith says:

That’s quite unfortunate – we live in a time where we don’t assist people – we try to hurt them. The police should fully investigate this matter…

  12. MyLegacyB4myPeople says:

Why does the government not let the police lock these neighborhoods down block by block and pull these rats out their holes? O’h I forgot it is the government that encourages them, how sill of me to think that they would do such a thing to try and curb the violence in the city with no crime lawyers would not make enough money thus the King and his Kings men will not be able to advance their wealth building legacy scheme. Remember, My Legacy B 4 My People.

  13. Elgin Martinez says:

What was the motive of the shooting?Other than the fact that Mr Williams had Car troubles is there a possibily that he was in this area for some other reason hello Belize?

  14. BZNinCALI says:

Optimyst, I am not sure how familiar you are with this area but if my geography is correct, it is a short block from where Killa Gentle & Trapp were murdered earlier this year, near where Stephen Buckley was shot by Officer Lopez last year & if I remember correctly where a grenade exploded last year, to name a few incidents. To prove to us how willing they were to pretend they believe their BS, many of our Politicians proudly attended Killa’s funeral. The message I got was that incivility & criminal behavior was acceptable as long as it was kept in their neighborhood & the criminals speak about redemption regardless of what they practice.

  15. Concern citizen says:

The police? what police, we don’t have any police, this is a lawless country all we have in Belize today are corruption and killings. After every killing you have a certain police officer doing an interview, saying the same old thing over and over, I can’t give you any information at this time, but we are investigating, then you don’t hear anything more about the case. As if the victim die in vain, no justice for our law abiding citizens.

Trust me, this all boil down to old beef. Killa death Noh gwan so, for u people who don’t understand

  17. BZNinCALI says:

Did Eldon live in this area & moved to Bermudian Landing & someone took this opportunity to get even for something he did or is he just an innocent victim who had the misfortune of ending up prey in a jungle full of hungry predators. Eyes on Belize, old beef is tough, you spend a lot of time & energy chewing on it & sometimes still cannot swallow it, throw it out & move on. Dah noh weh wi no andastan, what this & many other incidents have done is make the residents look like predatory animals which is far from the truth.
