Adopted child, Jeremiah Stadtlander, wins a million U.S. dollars in Court

Jeremiah Stadtlander

While Philip Tysinger looks for his biological parents, families of children adopted by Ruha’mah Stadtlander, a US missionary, have come forward with additional stats about the woman. Despite court appearances in Belize and the U.S., the Williams from Independence Village are only one of several families who have been unsuccessful in getting their child returned from Stadtlander. Stadlander’s website which is filled with outrageous stories of six year old gang members sleeping in the cemetery, asks for donations on the bottom of each page.  The Human Development Ministry has confirmed that Stadtlander has been blacklisted from adoptions for several years.  It is known that she changed the first names of the children she kept and gave them her surname.  Well one of those children, and no doubt Ruha’mah by extension, has received some good luck.  According to an Associated Press report dated December twenty seven, 2010, one of the adopted children, Jeremiah Stadtlander, won over a million dollars U.S. in a discrimination lawsuit.  The report says that the owners of the Warren Village Apartments had to pay one point one nine million U.S. dollars in damages to its tenant, Jeremiah and fifty-five thousand in costs to the U.S. government.  The discrimination lawsuit came about after the owners of the building broke the law by refusing to allow Jeremiah, who uses leg braces and crutches, to move to a first-floor apartment. He was injured when he fell down the stairs. Jeremiah’s birth name is Jermaine Romero and he is listed on Stadlander’s website as Jose. News Five has recently spoken to the mother of a child identified on the website as Lamont. She says that Lamont is not his name and with some effort, she was able to get her child back from Ruha’mah. The youth is now a student at UB.

Having read this article & the other one posted by Mrs. Williams, I have to ask if this woman had to submit any background information before she was allowed to set up shop in Belize. How many scams does this woman have going & how much help will these children need after her brainwashing?. I don’t believe this child will see a penny unless the court made sure his interests were protected & this money placed in a trust which this woman cannot get her hands on.

Belizeans need to quit giving up their kids to foreigners. America is not what it seems as the grass is not greener on the other side of the pasture. You never know what you have until you lose it. Keep your kids close, love them. Life is not easy but giving up your kids is not a good thing

It is hard to believe the my beloved people, Belizeans have been giving away their children to these foreiners. You do not know what these people do to our children. America have a lot of their own problems which include a lot of kids in foster care. Why don’t they take their own american children, there are THOUSANDS of them. There has to be a reason. Mind you, the American Government gives the families a lot of money to take care of these children. Another back lash is they have to take them to a lot of therapy and different appointments. It is not just getting money. Please let them take care of their own problem. They have enough.

Stop giving your kids away Belizeans. If you know you cannot support and care for them do not have them to begin with. Please use common sense and the experience of others to help yourselves.

@Marilyn, shakedown artists find all kinds of ways to hustle, this woman appears to know enough about the law to play the system & sometimes win. She bats those baby blue eyes, shed a tear or two & speak of her love for these poor underprivileged children & some sucker buys her story. When Black Social Workers started opposing cross racial adoptions, many people screamed racism but it slowed the stream of black kids going into white households through foster care & adoptions. From all indications, it appears that the scam is to find a child with a pressing medical need, real or created, avoid the background check & home study that would otherwise be done in the case of an adoption. That child gets a visa & can leave because it would be inhumane to do otherwise. After they have been in the US for a while, file a claim in the courts to declare the child abandoned & declare her their legal guardian since they cannot deport a child back to non existent parents. What we have to face at some point is that the Justice System is run by human beings who bring their own prejudices & life experiences with them & it is easier to believe that a poor minority parent will walk away from their child than that this woman is Cruella.
