Pregnant 17 year old arrested with group for gun and ammunition

Orin Michael

A seventeen year old at the peak of her pregnancy was remanded to prison along with twenty-four year old Orin Michael, eighteen year old Erwin Ellis, thirty-seven year old Margaret Harris and twenty-five year old Nasceria Maheia.

Nasceria Racquel Mejia

All five persons were detained at a house on Albert Street where police allegedly found a nine millimeter Taurus pistol loaded with sixteen live rounds. The group has been in custody since Wednesday morning when the bust was made. Michael initially pleaded guilty to the charges of Kept Firearm without a Gun License and Kept Ammunition without a Gun License. When the details of the charges were read, however, he didn’t agree and an equivocal not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. They were all remanded to the Central Prison and are to return to court on April fifth.
