Corozal Money Changer succumbs to injuries

Exactly two weeks after he was shot by two men at his home, a money changer has died of the injuries.  Thirty-four year old Jaime Headman who lived in San Joaquin Village, Corozal, was met by gunfire when he opened his door on the night of February seventh.  He was shot to the upper chest and face.  Headman underwent surgery at the Belize Medical Associates to repair a spinal injury and remained hospitalized up until the time of his passing this evening.  On the night when he was shot, one of Headman’s neighbors told News Five that she heard a vehicle drive past her house moments before the gunshots and that later, Headman’s wife, twenty-seven year old Elva was heard screaming.  Officer Commanding the Corozal police, Superintendent Miguel Guzman says police still have no leads as to who are the men responsible for the killing but the red pickup truck that they reportedly went to Headman’s home in that night was found burnt a few days later in Patchakan Village.

Adios…who are YOU to judge him?????????????????

Farewell Jimbo no one can harm you anymore .God called you to his side for a reason ,you will be sadly missed by all who knew you and your great heart of always having others in your mind.Rest In Peace. My condolences to your wife and your girls.

  5. GUMA says:

Rest In Peace Jimbo. You are now with God. You will be sadly missed by all who knew you were a wonderful human being. My most sincere condolences to your wife, daughters, sister, brother and all your family members. Just over a year ago God called you mom to his side, about 7 months ago the Good Lord called your dad to his side and now He has called you to join them.

I sincerely hope the authorities stop saying that they do not have any leads and really, really do their job. Have all the neighbours been questioned? Someone must have seen something. One of Jimbo’s neighbours is a police officer and his uncle. Did he not hear or see anything? Was Jimbo questioned while he was in the hospital? He was able to talk, he was receiving visitors.

    Goodbye Jimbo. Rest In Peace.

  6. Al says:

    Respect,

I am sorry to disagree with you. God did not call Jimbo to his side. The stupid act of evil men did that. God said thou shalt not kill, so he certainly would not call a man to his side by having somone murder him. This is Satan’s work and I am tired of God getting the wrong blame for evil things. You all need to realize that Satan comes to steal to kill and to destroy, that is in the Bible. Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly. So call out Satan and rebuke him in the name of Jesus and stop blaming God.

Police have no leads … now there’s a surprise. Corozal is a small place, not exactly New York City.

They have the burnt-out pickup. The Pickup might not had had License Plates on it, but it will have a VIN number either stamped onto the chassis or on a plate, rivetted to the chassis.

Not that I’d want to tell our professional Police Officers what to try, but why not run the VIN number through the Traffic Department Registers? Try Corozal, Orange Walk & Belize District first, then Belize City (Will be on computer there), then the other districts.

Failing that, unless it was smuggled into Belize – try Customs, the VIN Number must be on a Customs entry. It will take time, and work, but it’s now a Murder Case, and we pay our taxes for the Police to do some work – sorry, their work, don’t we???

Someone knows who did it, and why.

But then again, not much point in putting all the effort to get these cowards charged, as the DPP won’t do their job, and they’ll walk free anyway.

  9. police police says:

he was a known drug dealer, knew his faith, stop blame police, no police officer can own what Headman owned in a blink of an eye, be real and say no to drugs, work for the money, and there are many other like Headman in San Jauquin

  10. Disgusted! says:

My God! some people say the most insensitive things on these blogs. I guess if we could judge God He would’nt be spared the venom either. In fact, if some people had their way, they’d probably crucify Him all over again.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. tabbo says:

c’mon police police, a father, brother, cousin, uncle, was murdered. you imply he was dealing with drugs, and allege there are many more in san joaquin, then maybe you should do something about it POLICE POLICE. people know how things are run in our country. and we all know cops are bought out with even a bucket of gas or a twenty… people know who are involved in drugs, but has any of them ever been busted???…. i wonder why.
