NCFC sponsors Kid-O-Rama logo competition

For sometime now the National Committee for Families and Children along with Love FM has been airing a weekly children’s show entitled Kid-O-Rama. Today we spoke to Ava Pennill of NCFC to find out more about the show and a logo design and motto contest planned for this month.

Ava Pennill, Executive Director, N.C.F.C.

“It’s a program for children by children. On this programme young people have an opportunity to talk about issues that affect their lives. They can share their views; bring in guest speakers from time to time to discuss different issues. It’s also an opportunity for them to showcase their abilities. The show has been very successful and the young people have asked if they can now have a logo for the show. So NCFC is sponsoring a logo competition for the Kid-O-Rama programme and we are asking young people in schools, out of school and the public in general to submit logos.”

“The children represent a wide range of youths in Belize City. Their age range is somewhere between eight to about twelve or thirteen. They ask to be a part of it. We went around asking young people to be a part of it. It’s still open for other persons or other children who would like to be part of the show. We have two sets of young people that are on the show and they do it interchangeably.”

“If the kids watching would like to join this programme, where can they sign up?”

Ava Pennill

“They can call us at NCFC 71069 or they can get in touch with their principals, and as we go around looking at logos we can take names of applicant of young people that want to be part of the show as well.”

The show airs every Saturday morning at eight on Love FM. The deadline for all logos is November twenty-fourth.
