A resident of Lake Independence is lucky to have escaped serious injury when he came under gunfire a long way from home on Tuesday night.  Thirty-two-year-old Jovy Carballo was driving along Raccoon Street Extension when shots were fired in his direction.  The vehicle was hit twice and fortunately the driver was only grazed during the incident.  According to police, the shooting was the result of a personal misunderstanding between Carballo and nineteen-year-old Keenan Young, who has since been arrested and charged.
