Motorcyclist Perishes in RTA on Stann Creek Valley Road

Another motorcyclist lost his life on Saturday shortly before six p.m. around mile ten and a half on the Stann Creek Valley Road.  The victim has been identified as thirty-three-year-old Pedro Shol of the Valley Community, along the Hummingbird Highway. Shol was reportedly driving his motorcycle when he reportedly lost control and collided into a bus travelling in the opposite direction. ACP Joseph Myvett shares what the police know so far about this fatal RTA.

“A white passenger bus was seen northbound on the highway and a black SkyGo motorcycle was seen on the left side of the highway extensively damaged and the body of a male person later identified as Pedro Shol, thirty five years of a Stann Creek Valley Road address, was seen motionless with severe head and body injuries. Initial investigations revealed that Mr. Shol was also travelling northbound on the highway and an approaching vehicle was coming from the other direction which crashed him to crash into the parked bus which at the time had no lights. The driver of the bus one Darnell Borland has since been detained pending investigation into this matter.”
