P.S.U. Says We Ain’t Going Nowhere!

On Thursday, it was revealed that the physical location in Corozal which businessman Xin Ni used to register Simplex Design Company Limited is actually the home address of P.S.U. branch executive, Amelio Cal.  Cal told News Five that the property in Santa Rita Layout is owned by his mother and is occupied by his family.  He says that not only has he never met the Chinese national, the bogus use of his address also poses safety concerns for his wife and children.  When asked for her reaction to the latest twist in the Hilltop plot, Obermayer told News Five that she was shocked at such a coincidence.  She also said that the union has not yet been served with an eviction notice following the sale.

“What is your position or take as the president of the union, coming to find out that the address that was given by the Chinese businessman in Corozal is actually the residential address of an official of the P.S.U. for the Corozal Branch.  What is your immediate reaction upon learning that?”

On the Phone: Doreth Cayetano-Obermayer, President, Public Service Union

“My immediate reaction was one that was unbelievable for the simple fact that I would have never thought that another executive member of the PSU would be involved or their address would have been used, coincidentally, if I am allowed to put it that way, you know, it was really a shock when my chairperson from Corozal informed me about it and said, “But Madame, are you aware that the address used is for my vice chairperson?”  And I was like, “Are you serious?  Do we have evidence?”  And she said yes, you know.  So for me, this was one while it was pleasing to hear because that’s another form or fraud and corruption, at the end it’s disappointing to find out that for things like this to happen, that these people would go above and beyond in any form whatsoever to make sure that whatsoever they’re doing would go through.”

“Have you guys been served with a notice of eviction, the land having been sold from beneath your feet?  Have you guys been told when you need to move off that property?”

On the Phone: Doreth Cayetano-Obermayer

“No, we haven’t been told, we haven’t been given anything in regards to the sale of the land and I stand my ground that at no point, because of the amount of monies invested in and on this property by the Public Service Union, we are not going to move anywhere.”
