“This M.O.U. will help with the reduction of NCD’s and why I will bring NCD’s is because I will highlight you the different diseases that we have in NCD’s and it will show that having physical activity, eating healthy will prevent and can help you live longer. Just this September at the General Assembly that we were highlighting NCD’s, all the Ministers of Health from the Caribbean and Central America. We are really advocates of us working with our people, for us to be able to see the need, for us to eat health and exercise. Here at home, NCD’s accounted for approximately forty five percent of the total deaths for 2017.  Evidence consistently showthat the NCD epidemic cannot be tackled through intervention and policies in the health sector alone in particular. Prevention measures that address NCD risk factors include finance, trade, education, agriculture and transportation but most important the determination of people that want to start to have a healthier lifestyle. It is us; the way we live, the way we eat, the way we act.”
